If you had unprotected sex, then yes you could be pregnant.

What are they teaching in schools these days?

I seem to recall (dim and distant past) that missing a pill can result in spotting. I would test just to be sure though.

Take a test instead of panicking. Yes, if you've missed a pill and had sex you could be pregnant.

I missed a couple of pills once and ended up pregnant, luckily for me both my husband and i were thrilled and DS is now 10 years old! However, i had also forgotten to take a pill on quite a few occasions and it really mucked my periods up - sometimes i would not get a period, sometimes just a bit of spotting etc so it really can go either way. Go and buy a test (i know, they are so expensive you might need to take out a mortgage!) but at least that will give you a definite answer.

thanks for that, and yes showofhands i do understand that unprotected sex can make you pregnant, i was more asking about what the spotting bleed could be, if it could be implantation bleeding perhaps.
i left school 14 years ago, so not so sure what they are teaching now. but thanks for that .. uck

I'm not adding anything about the risk that you might be pregnant - but I wanted to say that if you're not, then I have a tip for remembering your pill in future.

I used to have a bathroom cabinet where my toothbrush ans toothpaste were kept.
I put a post-it note on their cannister, so it was at the front of the cabinet and every day when i got out my toothbrush, i saw the note that shouted "PILL!" at me.
It meant i never forgot to take it in the morning (and my memory is very, very, very bad)

I was joking to try and cheer you up but hey ho.

You obviously know that sex leads to pregnancy. You know what implantation bleeding is by the sounds of it. You already know the answer to "could i be pregnant!!????", you just need to find out with a test.

Actually tests aren't that expensive anymore. You don't need to buy the Clearblue digital ones.

Tesco sell them really cheaply! when I was TTC I bought the Tesco double packs which were about £4. They are just as reliable! Maybe keep some in for future scares?

You can buy 400 tests for a penny on ebay. Grin

Or 5 for £2, but near enough.
