Oh bugger, tummy upset AND pregnancy nausea!

FFS! I am supposed to drive my dd up to Oxfordshire today (4 hr drive) to get her to London tomorrow, I am staying at my parents tonight.

However, I woke up with awful stomach pains this morning and horrible diahorrea, which has only served to make my pregnancy nausea even worse.

I am so fed up and panicking about how I am going to do the journey today. I am so hacked off wirth feeling like crap all the time and the one day I need to feel half decent I feel worse than ever. Someone up there really hates me.

Sorry for the rant, just needed to vent my frustration.

Thanks Filibear. I am currently trying to conjure up the courage to get in the car and start on my 4 hour journey up the m5. I feel wobbly and sick and would rather just go back to bed.

Today is not one of my better days!

awww rocklover so sorry for you - I know you've been worrying about this :( you're braver than me - i wouldn't be able to manage the drive like that. I hope it goes well and let us know when you safely return. btw do you suffer from IBS? I get diahorrea and stomach pains sometimes with that when I get very anxious/stress (and it can be really bad - if I'd never had it before I'd be worried there was something really odd with me as it can get to the point where I can't move/have bad loo 'issues')....

Yes I am an IBS sufferer Angels and get diahorrea when pregnant, when stressed, on my period, you name it. It was a particularly painful bout this morning and now I feel like I could throw up any minute.

I still haven't left yet, I just don't feel well enough and don't want to put dd at risk with crap driving if I am unable to concentrate. I am so bloody upset, I just feel like crying, I want this bloody nausea to go now so that I can live normally!

Thank you for your kind words.

you sound like me with diahorrea and IBS rocklover - I once went to see my doc as I got it every day for like a year and suddenly thought 'this can't be normal...maybe there's something terribly wrong with me'. Turns out there's not, it's just IBS! Now I'm getting it alternating with pregnancy constipation.

I really hope you feel better - do you have any sickness drugs you can take? I'm still on full dose of my cyclizine. It's just RUBBISH this pregnancy sickness isn't it...I don't think people realise how you life can be ruined when you have it. Try resting and deep breathing.x

Well I made it to Oxfordshire...after having to call bloody emergency breakdown out!

My car door broke whilst I was at a service station in Somerset and it wouldn't close, so I couldn't go anywhere until it was fixed. I couldn't believe my bad luck!

Still I'm at my parents now, have to get dd to London in a few hours though, but I am going by train. Not looking forward to it at all as still feeling grim.

My ibs is being like yours Angels, swinging between constipation and diahorrea, it's bloody annoying!

oh no rocklover - such bad luck. I was wondering how you got on. At least you made it to oxfordshire - that's the big bit of the journey done so the trip to London should be easy in comparison to what you've already gone through (I hope).

I made it to and from London unscathed and just have the journey back to Devon to do tomorrow now.

The good thing is I have had some lovely birthday presents from my family (for Saturday), so I have things to look forward to doing when I get home. So all in all, it has been a nice trip despite the nausea. :)

Thanks. Got back today safe and sound and plan to veg out for a few days at least. I'm lucky that I don't work at the moment, but that means I'll have loads of time on my hands and no dd :(. I'll have to find something constructive to do.

Hope things are are going well with you Angels.

yes I'm off work too. Back in september. Things not too bad here - had 3/4 relatively good days and managing to eat a few more foods. Keep hoping it will keep improving till I can go out and live a normal life again... it's the sort of never knowing what the next day will bring...
