Constant salivation - any other sufferers?

I'm suffering from pretty bad morning sickness generally. But also from about week 9 I began to salivate continuously at all hours. If I'm speaking to someone on the phone, I have to spit every few sentences. I can't go to work any more because my job is effectively as a public speaker, and even shopping is a nightmare, as I have to bring a cup with me and spit mouthfuls into it every minute or so. This makes it difficult to sleep as well because swallowing the spit makes me vomit. I've now got really bad heartburn as well, and have tried every nutritional tip (other than cutting out dairy - but I'm worried about losing out on calcium). I'm now 12 weeks. Anyone else had this humiliating problem/know why I've got it/what to do about it?

I thought I was odd
I had a real thing where I couldn't swallow my saliva so had to try and do it [spit] without the children seeing. I wasn't constantly sticking my head behind tees, and if I did swallow it I would retch and was often sick.
I thought I was just a weirdo. I was lucky though as I managed to stay out of social situations

I don't know how to stop it but I do know that the two I suffered with it for (numbers 2 and 4) are absolutely fine if that helps

Thanks bronze. I guess I'll just have to play it by ear as to whether I can go back to normal life any time soon. In 28 weeks' time, I won't recognise my "normal life" any more anyway!
