My almost 3 month old will only poo if we raise her legs and rub her tummy etc. It's been this way for about 6 or 7 weeks now.

She's got acid reflux so is on cow and gate anti reflux milk at night, but when we used this milk for each feed, it made her poos solid and painful to pass, so we use a couple of normal cow and gate formula feeds during the day when her reflux doesn't bother her as much. (we did try gaviscon but that made her really constipated)
This has made her poos easier to pass, however they are still like a thick paste.

Has anyone else gone through this?
Any suggestions on how to possibly get her pooing solo?

😬 Any tips or advise very welcome.

Hi, when there young it can take a while for then to learn to poo. I think might might h been similar, but did sometimes poo when feeding l. You could look up the EC hold.

I used Gaviscon for my little one it was honestly a god send as he threw up constantly after every feed. Not just a bit of spit up but loads and had to remain absolutely still after feeds so couldn't even change his clothing/bedding which was covered. He was also on coleef for colic. The label said could make poos soft so I always thought it helped counter the effects of the Gaviscon. It didn't help much with the colic but certainly seemed to be helping soften his poos. Maybe worth a try it's expensive but coleef can be bought over the counter.

We have tried gaviscon about a month ago but stopped as it made her really constipated. I'm going to go back to the gp next week hopefully and see what they say, definitely willing to try gaviscon again as long as there's something in place to prevent the constipation 🤦🏻‍♀️
