I have been trying to potty train my nearly 3 year old since she was about 18 months old on and off, she knows when she's weeing/pooing and before she needs one as well sometimes. She makes me change her nappy as soon as she's done it as well so all the signs are there that she is ready. She's even really excited that she wanted to sit on the potty anytime she saw it.
Rewind about a month and half ago I spoke to the nursery about getting her potty trained and if they could help as all I get is accidents at home. They said yes having the other kids around may encourage her, so I sent her in knickers to school the next day, when I picked her up I'd heard she'd had a fantastic day and had used the toilet and even done a poo on there as well. It was all going really well for about 2 weeks with the odd accident here and there to be expected.
The half term holiday came and I continued to encourage her at home however as the week went by she started to have more and more accidents. To the point where I'd take her to the toilet she wouldn't do anything and I'd ask her if she needed to go and she would say no and then within seconds she would wet herself right in front of me. Since she's gone back to nursery she has been going in knickers and not having any accidents at all but at home she just won't use the toilet/potty at all, she is purposely wetting herself to the point where she's even told me if I don't put a nappy on her she's going to wet herself.
Could anyone help me please!!! I'm trying to understand why at least she doesn't want to go. I've asked but get a different story each time. I've informed the nursery about it they've told me normally it's the other way round and it's completely normal, but it's starting to get a bit stressful now and I'm all out of ideas.
