Transition from potty to toilet

I potty trained my ds a few weeks ago and hes now fully potty trained but he will only use the potty. He won't go near the toilet and freaks out when I suggest it, we decided to try going out and seeing if having no option would make him use the toilet but despite needing a wee he wouldn't go and held on for hours until he could use his potty. I just wondered if anyone had any magic tips or tricks to help the potty to toilet transition?

Try a trainer seat at home, toilets can look very big to toddlers and they can be afraid of falling down them.

He won't go near the training seat for the toilet either :-(
