We're about to start potty training 2.1yo dd who seems ready (keeps telling us when she's done a wee or poo, pulling at her nappy and sometimes asking for the potty which she is aware of).
When we potty trained her big sister we took a couple of weeks off work and kept her home and then nursery took over during nursery hours. So pretty straightforward. This time round I'm not working and it's the summer hols (perfect right?). Except we have lots of days out planned - this week is our quietest week but we are still spending one whole day around a family members house, another day at a theme park and another day DD1 has a friend over (and they're at the giggling stage so am concerned they'll put dd2 off). Next week will be busier and so on.
I'm also due to have DC3 in 8 weeks so I'd like to crack this before then, rather than attempting with a newborn when I'm trying to establish breastfeeding (which I have always had a nightmare with).
I'm not convinced dd2 will manage well potty training when out and about (eg in car or walking down the road etc) in the first couple of weeks. I half don't remember what we did last time and half don't think many scenarios were an issue because she spent a lot of time indoors until she was dry.
So I'm after some tips on how to handle days out in the very early days? FYI I won't be able to plan any whole weeks at home until probably February half term and really don't want to leave it until then.
