Potty training

Little wee in pants before will go on potty

My 2y 8m daughter has been wearing pants and using the potty / toilet pretty successfully for about 4 weeks. Poos took a while to get but she seems to have sussed that in the last couple of weeks.

The problem is she will rarely go and do a wee until she absolutely has to, and almost always does a little wee in her pants before she'll go. She won't go unless she wants to and I don't want it to get into a battle so am trying to be breezy about it - asking if she needs to go to remind but not forcing it.

I haven't really done any training as such, except for lots of praise and judicious use of chocolate buttons and stickers, as she was pretty much using the potty for wees before we switched to pants so had got the idea. She's dry at nursery but think they all go together at certain times and also she has easy access to the loo all the time there.

TLDR - how can I help her realise she needs to do a wee before she does a little bit? Or do I just need to carry on and it should click.

Thanks!
