Potty training

Can't get DS into pants

We've been taking a relaxed approach to potty training offering potty lots and at similar times each day and DS who is 3 at the end of the month has responded well. I offer nappy or pants each day, and he is quite insistent that he stays in nappies. Should I just continue or should I encourage him more to try out pants? He is really anti them despite us shopping for them together, suggestions of rewards or bribes to try them and other just general pant talk. I believe he is ready and might just need a bit of a push to make the leap into pants, but I can't figure out if we should push him or just continue as we are.

He does all his poos in the potty, but only wees when we remind or suggest he tries the potty so still wets his nappy. We've a new baby so have not pushed him yet because I've been worried about him regressing with all the changes in our life lately and he moves up at nursery when he turns 3 which is also a big deal for him. I haven't a clue what I'm doing and we've just been making it up as we go along. He's also not keen on trying the actual toilet so we've not pushed him, but he will do the occasional standing up wee.

Any thoughts or words of wisdom? Thanks

wait a while get him a bit more consistent with wees, make a massive fuss about how big he's getting, then buy nappies a size to small, try and put them on him and pretend he's outgrown them because he's a big boy.
