Hi mummies

My lo is 8 weeks old and since his second week in this world he has sicked up after every feed and been in discomfort. He doesn’t sleep a lot in the day and when he is awake he just cries! Was getting on ok at night but that has gone backwards the last two nights.

He is under a paediatrician and is on Neocate milk and omperozole and ranitidine medicine.

I am just finding it so hard and wondered if any of you mummies are in the same boat? I have a three year old boy aswell and feel constantly guilty as I am always trying to settle the baby!

I wake up every morning with anxiety about the day ahead.

I had pnd and anxiety with my first and dread it coming back just want someone else to say they feel like i do dealing with this illness 😩

Just to say I was in the same boat, and I know how you are feeling just now. I had to cut dairy completely out of my diet also as I was combination feeding, she was on Neocate too. How long have they been on Neocate for?

There's really great support groups on Facebook, CMPA- main group, also a weaning one and a breastfeeding one.

I think it was round about that length of time, so hopefully the end will be in sight for you.
Have you got an wedged pillow, or their bed raised slightly to help with reflux. I found this helped.

Oh that’s good to hear! Went to see a cranial osteopath last night which gave me some hope! Yes I’ve got a wedge under his mattress, had a good night last night so keeping my fingers crossed! X

We went through this aswell and it took 6 weeks to come out his system but about week 4 we started seeing an improvement. Hopefully the end is in sight!

Sorry just realised you replied.

My LO never really projectile vomited, he had really bad silent reflux. It did calm down by about week 4 and improved till week 6 (same with the little explosive diarrhoea nappies, I was changing him every hour)
