Painful sex 4 months pp

4 months pp and sex is very much still painful. A deeper pain with penetration. I had episiotomy and 3rd degree tear.

I also get a small cut/tear at entrance to my vagina from penetration. At the bottom at like 6 o clock. It then stings after and heals over in a few days. But does it every time!!

So frustrated with it & just want things to return to normal!!

Please somebody tell me it gets better??

Honestly I felt like I would never be normal again. Didn't manage to get (tmi warning) more than 1 finger inside at 6 months. Now at 8 months sex is pretty much back to normal and feels good. Still need plenty of lube at the moment which I'm hoping is mainly down to breastfeeding!

Thank you. I have to use lube to have sex but am not breastfeeding.

I was extensively repaired after a severe tear though. They keep telling me it’s hormonal but I’m not sure sure.

I seem unable to produce lubrication at my entrance when aroused. An it’s normally just born dry. But internally it seems fine. Very strange

I couldn't have sex for over a year after giving birth. 2nd degree tear but it was quite deep, with a lot of scarring tissue. I was eventually referred to a gynaecologist by my GP, who then prescribed a bunch of different-sized dildos (no I'm not kidding) with plenty of lube. Start with the smallest size working up to stretch the tissue. It helped and I was pain-free after a few months.
If it keeps hurting definitely go to your GP.
