I just need to moan tbh!

I had a CS 2.5wks ago (breech baby). My wound is still so sore and I'm struggling to walk/ hold baby/ generally do anything (including going to the loo) without a LOT of pain

Went to GP today who has prescribed some antibios (oral and cream) because wound has opened slightly at one end. He also took full blood count and test to check for any internal infection (eek). I don't have a temp or anything.

Anyone else experienced this?

I just feel rubbish and have heard so many stories of people feeling pretty good 2 weeks after a section. I'm nowhere near

Yes. I had an infection, too and it was so sore. 2.5 weeks is still very recent. Once the infection cleared at 3-4 weeks, it quickly started to feel better. But a lovely midwife said to me that if you'd had a hysterectomy you'd still be lying in bed being waited on two weeks later, and CS is similarly traumatic but because you've had a baby you're expected to bounce straight back.

Hope you feel better soon, and congrats on your lovely new baby!

I had an emergency CS 3 weeks ago and I'm still very sore. I went to the GP last week as the pain was unbearable and got antibiotics and yesterday I had a scan at the hospital to check everything and thankfully all is well.

I keep being told "you had something major done only a few weeks ago" and I guess I keep forgetting that. Like pp said, we are expected to just get on as we have a baby now.

I hope you feel better soon. Flowers

Just frustrating isn't it?! Being so unable to move/ carry/ lift/ do anything with other DC

Doesn't help that DS is feeding literally round the clock (12hrs of continuous feeding so far today and no sleep for either of us) Sad

It took weeks to stop hurting. People who say they are fine after a fortnight are lying.

Aww you poor thing, I can totally relate.

I am four months down the line after my c section and I just wanted to reassure you that it absolutely does get better but it feels like the slowest process ever!!
I honestly felt like I was never going to be out of pain or able to move properly but I promise you that you will get stronger every day.

Be kind to yourself, it's a huge operation and you're having to look after a baby as well. You are doing amazing and you'll be running around before you know it.

It took me 5 months to stand up straight after my cs. The pain was dreadful.

I had an internal infection... so it took a while to heal. Pilates from 2 months after op really helped me.
