Swelling 4 months after C-Sec

I had an ELCS 16 wks ago. It took 8 weeks to feel 'ok' and I started light exercise at 10 wks gradually building up to a short work out or Zumba or something most days.

The last few days I've noticed I am swollen again above the incision and have some mild pain (when something rubs on it) e.g I don't want to wear jeans. I thought I had started to heal well but feel saddened by this.'it's like a thick line of scar tissue above the scar that is swollen and tender. Anyone had anything similar? Do I need to see GP? Can I still exercise?

I had this issue with my first c section scar. It initially looked great and then as the scar tissue matured it contracted down and the tissue above it protruded. It wasn't actually a swelling just the contrast of a slight tummy with the pulled in area of scar tissue. Best thing to do is daily massage with any simple oil or moisturiser in firm small circular motion as it can help scar tissue. Unfortunately I missed the boat and have tummy that overhangs my scar looking quite ugly.

Ps I would ask your doctor to have a look but gentle exercise sounds fine
