Do you ever regret your child’s name?

My baby boy is a couple of weeks old and I already regret his name, we had a name picked and when he was born my Partner didn’t think he suited it so we chose a new one. We haven’t registered him yet but everyone has been told his name and we have received personalised gifts. It’s really getting me down

Just change it. It's not yet official. Better take a slight awkwardness hit in the short term than to regret it for the rest of your life!

Change it! It’ll bug you forever if you don’t. Better to do it now before registering and your baby answers to it.

You are entitled to change your mind. Where does OH stand on this?

Change it back to the name you love! I know someone who did it after announcing the name and the old one was soon forgotten. The givers of personalised gifts might be slightly annoyed but if you explain and re-gift or give to charity I'm sure they will understand.

Change it 'back' to the one you'd already picked. XX

So much - every time I have to say my kids name I think I wish I had said no.... mine is too old to change it now, yours isnt seriously do it!

Don't keep the name you don't like because someone bought you a £15 blanket with his name on it. Change it to something you love, you won't regret it.

My OH is so fed up with the conversation he won’t even discuss it anymore

Change it back.

I think phew when I think of dd’s name because I nearly chose something else.
