Hi all, can't remember everyones dates but Joe's birthday is on 3rd August..oh bless.
Am i really tight, just wanting a birthday tea, 2 or 3 books (his favourite)wrapped and putting money in his bank account?
Really begrudge spending money when he won't be that interested and i could put it in his bank account..i'm sure he would appreciate a car at 17/18..

what do you guys think?

Good idea
No idea what we're going to do, not till 19th though.
We had family round for birthday tea for DS1's first birthday, so prob the same for DS2.

Did you see the magazine from bounty or something where you can get everything with the number one on it...could you imagine how much you would spend. I think my dh would go mad! They really know how to get you spending your cash don't they?

Hello all - found the new thread .

I didn't really want to do the whole first birthday party thing (call me miserable) I never did one for DS as his birthday is 3 weeks after xmas so feel I shouldn't do one for DD but I've got alot of pressure from family and friends to do it - my neice and a close friends DS turned 1 in July and they both had parties and SIL keeps mentioning it so I have given in and now we are having a 'small get together' on bank holiday weekend. I just hope the weather cheers up as don't want a house full - hoping to chuck every one out into the garden

I like the sound of your idea Fitzfrodo - thats all we did for DS - went for pub lunch with DH and DS and a few small pressies. Perfect!

Sorry for rant just needed to get it off my chest!
