Advice on stopping breastfeeding

My DS is 10 months and I want to stop BF he has always been mixed fed and I have managed to cut out the day time feeds but am still giving him his night time feed (from about 7pm) and through the night and when he wakes. I know this is now a comfort thing for him rather than hunger. I definitely don’t want to be BF past a year so my question is shall I just stop completely or try and phase out the night feeds gradually? Also, how long will it take for the milk to dry out and any advice on the swelling / pain?

Thank you

I saw you had no replies @Orange, don’t stop completely as you can give yourself issues potentially. Either phase feeds out, drop one every few days or go cold turkey and express slightly.
Shouldn’t take too long to stop producing.

I went down to just nights then went cold turkey one night - I had half a glass of wine and dh suggested I have more and he would deal with dd. It took two nights of him getting no sleep pacing up and down but I didn't get pain or leaks because she wasn't drinking that much, took a week to fully dry up.
