Any new mums in Thornton Cleveleys area?

Not sure whether this is the right section for me to ask this but I have a two month old baby and live in Thornton Cleveleys in Lancashire. I was wondering whether there are any other new mums in the area that could fill me in on any baby groups etc round here(my health visitor/clinic have not really been much help on the subject).

Hi Jan, not a new mum, but just wanted to say hello from blackpool!! I think they used to do baby stuff like tumbletots at the sports centre so it may be worth enquiring there?

Thanks, I will phone the sports centre and find out. I'm getting a bit fed up on my own during the day!!

You could go for a wander round the windmill? But that gets old after the tenth time

I do need to get out and about more and have been going for walks but it's difficult timing outings in between feeds and nappies etc but now that she's 2 months old I will make more of an effort. You wouldn't think that I worked full time up until a few months ago and was out all day!

Hi Jan2

not a new mum either, but wanted to say welcome ! I am in Southport, we have had a couple of meet ups, which have been lovely, and are aiming to have a summer one, if it ever stops raining!

you could look into sure start, or NCT , or your local children;s centre if there is one, to find out more about local mum and baby groups

Oh I know, having a baby is a bit of a culture shock alright (understatement)!!

Think she might be a bit young for tumbletots yet but I'm sure they do baby massage and suchlike round there. My friend definately did it and it wasnt so long ago..
