Anyone given their LO comfort milk?

Looking for other people's experiences of comfort milk. Did it make your LO very windy?

We ended up using it by mistake really as bought it without realising it has reduced lactose (first time mum mistake please don't flame me). He was having it from 3 weeks old daytime only. During the night he was having the readymade stage 1 carton. When I realised they were two different milks completely, the health visitor strongly advised he moved onto the comfort milk full time rather than the stage 1 full time. He did appear to have colic symptoms but that has settled now since he has been having comfort milk full time since 4 weeks old.

Now 7 weeks old and we've found he has become increasingly windy (from
both ends). His dirty nappies are very smelly (which I understand is to be expected) but the excessive wind is making him really quite unsettled. He isn't even sleeping properly as often needs picked up to be burped. This then makes him very cranky.

We were using infacol for a few weeks, administered before every feed but that appears ineffective now so we are using gripe water with some success thankfully.

Any tips would be much appreciated.
