Literacy Test and the Right to Vote

The older I get the less patience I have with the intellectually challanged.

The truly terrifying thing is that these people are given a say in how we run the country.

So, who would support some kind of literacy/IQ test as a requirement for the Right to Vote?

We could scrap the age limit while we're at it - I know some fairly astute ten year olds who probably have a better grasp on politics than some adults.

I am mostly serious about this.

No, I wouldn't support this I'm afraid.

Illiteracy doesn't seem to be a bar to democracy in India, where the electorate seem able to figure out who to vote for via symbols.
