Did your child’s school run a GE? If so, do you know who they voted for?

Just wondering as my child’s school and another school nearby both voted overwhelmingly for the Lib Dem’s, which is the opposite of the constituency result.

Nope but they did a referendum recently, and there are calls for the school councillor elections to be re-run as the winning candidate lied about giving everyone doughnuts and then didn't deliver on the promise.

Ours didi-
70% labour, then the rest split evenly between conservatives, lib Dems, and greens.
Representative of the constituency on the whole!

DD’s secondary school voted overwhelmingly Labour as did DS’s.

Very green here.... Green majority I think. ( They did it as a first past the post per year)

We are in the depths of old school Tory country.

Yes. Massive Lib Dem win in our school which was a first.

My children's school had a large Lib Dem majority. It's a Jewish school, so not exactly surprising that the current Labour Party didn't win...

Lib dems 1st, Green 2nd, Labour 3rd (primary school). Their parents overwhelming voted Tory.

I have just found the results of the National Mock Election Run in schools by the Hansard society and Labour ‘won’ with Lib Dem’s second.

I also found the 2017 results and labour are down 5% from then, Conservative down 3%. Greens up 2% and Lib Dem’s up by 7%!

Wow.

Conservatives won at DS’s school - like the constituency.

Greens at DDs school. We are in a Tory 'safe seat' ~sadly~

All boys grammar school with candidates studying A level politics

  1. Greens
  2. Labour
  3. Tories - apparently (according to DS) they only came this high because he's the most popular guy in the school
  4. Lib Dems
  5. Brexit Party

Overwhelmingly Labour, barely any votes for the Tories. School draws from one Labour and one Tory constituency.

Don't know who DS voted for. The split was something like 25% Labour, 24% Cons, 23% LDems in his secondary mock election. We are a deep blue county, in reality.

Lib Dems won convincingly at our school.
Safe Tory seat in the real world.
Most of the students voted on the issue of Brexit.
It was like a day of mourning similar to the day after the referendum yesterday.

Wouldn’t it be interesting to collate all the school mock election results?

DS2's school went Labour.

DS’s school (indie school in a v safe Tory seat) voted Lib Dem. Tories second. DS voted Lib Dem based on their campaigning and the fact that DS doesn’t want Brexit.

Overwhelmingly labour. We are in a very safe labour seat though so I just assumed they copied their parents!

All girls’ grammar.

Labour won by a huge margin.

Didn’t reflect the constituency which is Tory safe seat.

Labour
Green
Conservative
Lib dems

We're in conservative seat, although not a safe one

1Labour, 2Green, 3Lib Dem, 4Tory, 5Brexit.

Very, very safe Tory seat - good to know they’re not all brainwashed by their parents & we might have some hope for the future.

Secondary comp: Labour (by two votes), Greens, Lib Dem’s, Cons.
The area is a Tory safe seat.

My sons' secondary school did it anonymously...as it they were just party 1,2,3,4 and the kids had to vote based on the manifestos. The party that won turned out to be labour. Reflective of the constituency and VERY reflective of the immediate locality- the labour offices are within walking distance of the school and the MP has a great relationship with the locals.
