Are we seriously on the verge of electing a hard left socialist as our PM

TM has had a disasterous campaign and I absolutely do not agree with everything in her manifesto BUT JC as PM really!!!

This is the man who had to be told to sing our National Anthem, the Communist Party is supporting Labour in this election and he is known to be an IRA sympathiser. He has not dealt with anti-semytism in the Labour party. Are we really going to have him representing our country? How can we trust him with defence and security?

He might be coming across as everybody's favourite grandfather but don't be fooled he is a hard left socialist and if he and McDonald get into number 10 and 11 they will unleash their project and there will be no going back for years.

Everyday for the last few weeks, I have heard announcement after announcement of giveaways to every section of society. It is not deliverable. To all these people saying they are prepared to pay "a bit more tax" have you actually worked out what you will be paying and bear in mind Rebecca Long-Bailey said yesterday ......."there are initial tax rises in our manifesto" so be prepared for more to come and that will be on top of the Land Valuation Tax that will be payable by everyone and the wealth tax. I am not scaremongering this will be the reality.

To the woman on the Sky news report last night who said she scrimped and saved to pay for private health insurance for her 3 children because that was very important to her but that she would be voting for Labour, I have news for you Labour are putting an extra tax on private health insurance.

JC is going to rally after rally where members of Momentum turn up in large numbers to support him. He is now being put on a pedestal as some saviour to all our problems but we are sleepwalking into a socialist revolution.

No more yawnsville than the unending torrent of anti-Tory threads.

Pot, kettle.....

Moussemoose Sat 03-Jun-17 21:41:59

You vote for your MP not the PM. Unless you are in the constituency of a party leader.

GingerAndTheBiscuits Sat 03-Jun-17 21:44:44

Lets hope so, eh!

AdultHumanFemale Sat 03-Jun-17 21:44:55

hard left socialist grin no more so than a fairly middle-of-the-road Scandinavian politician; he wouldn't stand out at all where I'm from.

MaidenMotherCrone Sat 03-Jun-17 21:45:42

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer Sat 03-Jun-17 21:48:21

mummysmellsofsick Sat 03-Jun-17 21:50:40

I'm voting for him because he's a socialist. Human, patient, sensible, not particularly radical.

Mum2jenny Sat 03-Jun-17 21:51:09

I like JC but I do not think he is sufficiently integrated with the Labour MPs to run the country.

To the woman on the Sky news report last night who said...

Sky News? Really? We know what type of person watches Sky News. Are you related to Donald Trump? Is trashy tabloid TV your sole source of information?

OhYouBadBadKitten Sat 03-Jun-17 21:51:32

so, are you a new poster or a coward?

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer Sat 03-Jun-17 21:51:55

You are either a new poster or a name changer

I am not voting for labour but i am getting a bit pissed off with all this scary scary bullshit

And its virtually all from new names...funny that

Fruitcocktail6 Sat 03-Jun-17 21:52:08

I am going with coward

What do you reckon

(I was trying find a polite way to say it but it took too long)

Thiscantreallybehappening Sat 03-Jun-17 21:53:50

Rufus - why do you think it is bullshit?

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer Sat 03-Jun-17 21:53:51

Sorry kitten blush

AdultHumanFemale Sat 03-Jun-17 21:54:05

Oh, I missed the bit at the end about the socialist revolution. Hardly. But those Scandinavian countries which have enjoyed more centre-left governments (even the Swedish Conservatives are lefty kittens compared to British Tories) tend to score quite highly on international 'Which citizens are happiest / enjoy the highest standard of living?' type of studies. Go figure. The 'Corbyn is a Marxist' thing is a red herring.

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer Sat 03-Jun-17 21:54:50

You go first

New poster who just popped on to talk about politics or name changer?
