I received two totally gorgeous childrens books today from Amazon.. and I just HAVE to share! The first is called Love You Forever, about a mum who is rocking her newborn baby boy.. and singing to him that she will love him forever.. and as the books goes on, he grows up, into toddlerhood, 8 years old, teenage and then finally a man.. and at all the stages she sings this song to him while he sleeps.. and then one day she calls him to come over because she is old and ill.. and she tries to sing him the song.. but can't finish it because she's too poorly, so he rocks HER and sings it to HER! And then he goes home, and rocks HIS new baby girl.. and sings her the same song. It will make you cry.. check it out here... love you forever

and also Becoming Me - A Story Of Creation, which is kind of like Neale Donald's Walsh's Little Soul And The Sun, but maybe for younger children. My kids were mesmerised by both books and they are 12, 6 and 4! Have a look at becoming me

Sleepyjess - you made DH cry! How could you!
Book sounds too beautiful; surely not to be wasted on children.

I beg your pardon, [penitent emoticon]. Of course the children are worthy of the book. (dh told me off)

Aw BLESS Purple Turtle's DH.. .. and Ionesmum, show it to your DH then he will know why you are crying.. and probably join you! My DH didn't cry.. but was visibly touched.. and he doesn't really 'do' books.. and he was also reading it while our little blighters ramaged around manically tormenting each other!! (Nightly occurance!)

I'm glad you lot are all as soft as me! These lovely books are so cheap on Amazon as well! I have several similar ones on my Wish List.. I will post more when I can.

Hi, sleepyjess, dh can't understand why anyone reads things that make them cry! The book sounds so poignant, I think one of the hardest things about being a mum is how quickly the time goes, and having to let go.

No, Melsy, dd didn't go to Blue planet, in fact I think the name is slightly different.
