Blessing my house

Hello,

I want to bless my house (pagan style) and have been looking at various rituals online but just wanted to know if anyone could direct me please.

I have lived here for 2 and a half years and experienced an abusive, violent partner in this house so I want to bless it from negative energies.

Any advice please?

No advice as I don’t follow paganism but I’m glad you’ve got away from your abusing relationship. Wish you well for blessing your home and I hope someone’s comes along with some great advice for you soon.

Yes I can give you some ideas on that one. Just on my way out now so I'll post again this evening.

Congratulations on your new start

@ThinksTwice

This is how I would go about it: It's very much a belt and braces method for a good energetic clean.

Get rid of anything belonging to your ex

Give the house a good clean and tidy ( negative stuff clings to dirt and disorder)

Work methodically from top to bottom

For each room open all drawers and cupboard door as you start to clear it. ( leave the negative energy nowhere to hide)

Shift the energy using either noise or smoke. I use a drum but a saucepan and a wooden spoon does the job. Make sure you get into all the corners, under tables, inside cupboards etc etc. If you choose to use smoke, white sage smudge sticks are popular. I use bunches of bramble myself.

As you finish each room sprinkle a little blessed salt water along the windowsills and an other entry places. Close the door behind you and seal that with the water too.

Wor methodically through the hose until you reach the hallway. Push all the negative energy through the door to the outside, close the door and seal it with the water.

Now you need to refill the space with something nice. Your favourite music, incense, maybe some dancing singing, cook your favourite meal - anything that gives you pleasure. You may want to sprinkle some peace water or florida water around ( plenty of recipes on the internet). That is entirely optional but they help to keep the place clean and smell lovely!

Good luck!

Just some water you've blessed. Take some rain water or spring water ( if you have to use tap water let it stand for a few hours for the chlorine to disperse).

Add a pinch of salt and maybe some herbs (basil is nice, don't use rosemary for this exercise as you want to forget the ex not remember them!)

Hold you dominant hand palm down over the water and if you believe in any deities then ask them to bless the water. If you don't then project, love, peace, calm etc into the water.

Gorgeous ideas.

My Mum (Catholic) has a friend who is a Catholic Priest. He came and blessed her flat when she moved in.

I think the pagan version (I lean more that way) is beautiful and somwhow much more meaningful.
