My Grandma is entering her final few days and would like holy communion. We have arranged for the (CofE) vicar of the church she had been attending until 2 years ago to come to the nursing home (about 3 miles away from the church) this morning.
It is going to be a tricky time regardless but I don't wan to get it wrong. Should I be offering the vicar petrol money and/or any other expenses?
I could ask my own vicar the normal way of doing these things but I won't see him until Sunday.
