Radio mic in church

Are there any other church sound techies out there on mumsnet?

I seem to have ended up responsible for our church sound system. The Radio mic has dies, its a Shure T4A-BB receiver that seems to have packed up. Has any one got one and can tell me how many lights are normally on the front while its powered up?

Or less likely but I'll ask anyway, if your church has a an old no longer used radio mic system ( clip on to tie/ stole type) that they may be able to pass on/ sell I'm interested. I'm in Devon.

Haven't a clue I'm afraid, but bumping for you, and also might be worth posting in Chat - after all, Public Address System problems occur in lots of other areas of life than Church!

It might not be the receiver that has packed up, it might be the transmitter connected to the mic.

Do you have more than one mic that you can test?

Thanks for link. That's a very helpfull .pdf the original was lost long ago.

Now pretty sure its receiver - no green power indicater light, no signal strength light. Transmitter pack is showing green battery light .
I've now had it connected to a sound desk at work via short cable ( not tie line) and doodly squat is getting to desk. The spot where the receiver has been sat invisible for years is close to where we had some water ingress through the roof in the winter storms, I fear water damage may be to blame.
I'm asking around to see if any one local has same frequency kit 175.000 mhz to check it out with. Sadly we have only the one.

Always worth trying another power supply.

Yep, tried that too. Handily the Shure runs on 12v like many other bits n bobs.
