My neighbour has cats, and she has generously given me some fleas... I dont have pets, so I have nothing to dose, and have 2 small DS so can't have sprays, so how do I get rid of them, I am absolutely COVERED in bites!!

You can use ant stop (it covers fleas too) on carpets and in corners, use it in the evening, when lo's are in bed, and it will have time to dry by the morning. You might have to 60 degree wash anything fabric that cat might have been on.

Or you can call the council who will send a man round to spray, I don't think they charge much.

Good luck

you can buy flea powder from the supermarket to sprinkle on carpets and leave for an hour and then vac off, and just keep vaccing a couple times a day

Have you told your neighbour? And why are the cats coming in your house?

Skoosh - get it from a local pet shop - its DC friendly - its not a pesticide its a silicone based type thing. Used it when our neighbours cat used to visit and left us with fleas. The only draw back is that it can make your carpets slippery for a few days but it does work. I sprayed one room at a time and wouldn't let DS go into that room just to be on the safe side and did the living room overnight and aired thoroughly the next morning

Hoover thoroughly and wash all beddding at a high temp as this will help a lot. Hoover every couple of days after you have sprayed as this will help
