Hello,

So me and OH have been discussing getting a jack russell, this was last year. And today we came across a couple selling a 9 week old puppy and we purchased one They say the puppy has been exposed to children etc

Anyone have one? I have nearly 2 year old. I'm sure it will be fine. I'm collecting it on Saturday and have paid a deposit

I have 2, best decision I ever made! Any puppy is going to behave the way that you allow, so decide what you want, be firm, spend a little time each day training. I find they are best when you stick to your daily routine. Best of luck and enjoy!

First of all, dogs are great and I love our family jack however be aware the importance of really persisting with training. We didn't and it's come back to bite us in the arse now we have a baby! Good luck though, it's such an exciting time!

I have a jack russell and two DC under 5 and he is wonderful with them. Kind, playful and patient. We are obviously with them at all times and don't let the DC pester him.

He likes routine and is very intelligent, which if not channeled properly can become destructive with chewing.

He can be very protective of his family so we are always cautious if new visitors come to the house but have never had any problems so far Smile

I'd watch a Jack around a young toddler. They can be nippy. Most are lovely and they're lots of fun but they're typical terriers with terrier traits. They're quite full on.

What research did you do into the breeder!
