They piss and shit everywhere, chew up your house and all its contents and you have to walk them at least twice a day and if you dont they piss and shit in your garden or house some more.

You still want one?

but you know, a puppy would be so ... I could train it just how i wanted it to be... the again, having an already well-trained dog was very convenient .

Ive just got a boxer puppy and didnt realise how much hard work puppies are. he was paper trainied when we got him but for some reason wouldnt go on his paper here so was weeing and pooing all over the place for the first few days.
To make it worse he couldnt go out until he had his 2nd needles which he's now had so he can go out but its still hard work, especially when ive already got a 1 yr old and am pg with #2.

I've just taken on a rescue JRT - she's only 11 wks old - she was seen being thrown out of a car just over a month ago - she was just 6wks old at the time. She spent a month at a rescue kennels and is now living with me and my lovely older dog and my two kids. She is very affectionate, loves cuddles, enjoys her food, comfy warm bed, lots of walks and she was housetrained within a couple of days of having her.

Yes puppies can be messy, disruptive, whining little creatures that chew everything in sight but I have absolutely NO regrets in taking this little girl on. She's lovely.
