Parliaments conventions are failing women. Please sign petition asking govt to formalise proxy voting for MP's.

Last week Jo Swinson MP was paired for a vote in parliament. This means a conservative MP agreed not to vote to cancel out the impact of Jo not voting. Jo is on maternity leave and had been assured pairing would enable her to be on leave and not have to attend votes in Parliament. As it turn out her pair voted anyway. It's not clear if that was by accident or on purpose. But it and the jncidwnce of very ill MP'S last month coming from hospital to vote to avoid a similar issue show pairing doesn't work. This is a petition to formalise proxy voting for MP's and remove the need for pairing. This would be just another baby steps towards parliament being a welcoming and even viable workplace for women.
