Sugar free Formulations for childrens medicines

I'm a pharmacist in Stevenage based at Oaks Cross Pharmacy. We receive prescriptions for a lot of children's prescriptions and have been dispensing Piriton Syrup regularly. Piriton syrup contains a lot of sugar ( 2.36g of sucrose in 5ml ) and there is no alternative sugar-free formulation available. We are worried because this is detrimental to the health of the child as excessive sugar in their formative years lead to tooth decay, a sugar-forming habit as well as indigestion. Please support our petition that we have recently started.
