We'd like to have a birthday party on a Sunday afternoon for our dd's 4th and would like it to be somewhere that's also nice for adults; i.e. not just soft play. Maybe a nice function room in a pub that leads out onto a patio or garden, or maybe just a nice function room in a pub but no garden. Or a lovely park cafe you can hire. Or a nice church hall that isn't too barren and ugly or municipal. Or a club. There are a lot of adults going to be there and it would be great if they could have a nice lunch while the kids play. Some of the church halls are just so big echoey, bland and empty, but I've only looked at one or two. Or a nice back room in a restaurant or something. Any ideas please!!!

Hello! There are lots of nice pubs around there that are child friendly I would have thought. I'm less certain about venues. how many people are you thinking of?

Hello!About 15 kids and 20 adults.
Been to St Pauls Rectory Grove, nice outdoor space but pretty grim inside if it's cold (it'll be late Oct), didn't look at Trinity Church Hall as it was too expensive; Bread and Roses is a definate maybe (their food isn't great though!). Windmill pub- 250 pound room hire and it's tiny. St Lukes-nice outdoor space but again pretty souless if it's cold and we're stuck indoors.

will you notice the soullessness if you have 15 kids running about?
