21st party ideas...

It's my 21st in September and as we have a DS we're going to have a party at our house.
Please please please can you give me some ideas of themes or games...?

I was thinking black tie, but not sure and need something to do. DP is suggesting karaoke!

do you have a favourite musical genre/movie type/author? That can work well - get everyone to dress up, play appropriate music, serve appropriate food etc.

Why do you want games? To entertain the LOs? If it's your 21st I'd keep the focus on you and let any DCs who are present almost have a seperate party - you could hire a clown or musician or jumping castle or just stock up on age appropriate games and activities for them elsewhere?

What about 1920's glamour? Think great Gatsby, etc. Cocktails galore!

Casino theme? Roulette wheel, poker table, blackjack, etc? Could you get a couple of teenagers to be your croupiers (sp?!)

No DC aren't being invited, my DS will be in bed.
Am thinking games for us adults.
Casino theme sounds great, apart from the issue that I have no idea how to play any of those games...

Ah - I was going to come and suggest black tie. How many people? Murder mystery, or is that truly and absolutely boring?

Have you got room for an adult sized bouncy castle?

Adult bouncy castle would be awesome but have no space in garden! There will be quite a few of us I think, isn't murder mystery an 8 person limit??? Or do you know of any that have more people to play?
