Ideas for the older children at 2nd birthday party

It’s my DD2s 2nd birthday coming up and we have booked the local village hall and have arranged for the group leader of her music class to entertain the children for 45 mins. DD2 doesn’t really have friends of her own age yet but DD1 (aged 6) has friends with siblings of a similar age so that’s who we’re mostly inviting. This means that the majority of the children are actually going to be a little older and I could do with some suggestions of cheap and entertaining things for them to do if they aren’t joining in with the music.

So far I have colouring and biscuit decorating. It’s a few days before Christmas so ideas could be Christmas themed!

Thank you.

Jenga and skittles

Might be late replying but thought I'd add my 2 cents anyway.

How many older children do you have? The 6 year old girls I know love mindfulness colouring sheets (endless options to print if you google) and all 6 year olds I know love word searches. A station with colouring and activity sheets would keep at least some of them busy.

Playdough still entertains many 6 year olds, especially if you have interesting things to do with it like shaped cutters and googly eyes/popsicle sticks.

A skittles/bowling alley with a cheap skittles set?

Just saw you already mentioned colouring, sorry.
