Hi mums looking for ideas please!!!!!! My daughter wants to have a Halloween theme for her birthday in October this year but she wants it at home 😱 She has just started a new school so wants to invite the whole class (so no one is upset) which normally I wouldn’t agree to but given the circumstances I’ve said yes this time 🙈 I have some ideas but really need some input entertaining 30+ kids for 2 hours is not going to be easy 😫

Apart from the haunted house set up;

  • mummy toilet roll wrap game
  • eating hanging donuts with hands behind backs
  • four cauldrons with gross stuff in that they have to put their hands in to find sweets
  • possibly asking all neighbours on cul- de-sac whether if I gave them a bag of sweets we could go trick or treating to fill up party bags
  • maybe a spooky face painter????

Any ideas welcome 🙏

I'd seriously look at hiring a hall OP. She might want it at home but she has no idea what it would be like! Out of 30 kids, if they all come, there'll be at least three challenging ones.

I'd book a local hall...church hall or similar. Or I'd just ask all the girls. 15 girls is FAR easier.

My friend did that asking the neighbours thing re trick or treating and they all agreed.

Food wise I'd keep it really easy with hot dogs, crisps, some sandwiches for those who don't like hot dogs....then jelly with worms in them made in individual plastic cups (clear so worms are visible) and ice cream.

Cake naturally.

I recommend hiring a local church hall. For my son and daughter’s 2nd birthday party this year I have decided to hire a local church hall for a few hours. I will provide things like muffins, simple sandwiches, cake, and fruit salad for the guests to eat during the party. In terms of entertainment we are hiring a bouncy ball pit for the kids and having arts and crafts too. A pub dinner will be provided after.

Could you hire party entertainers? We got one for DS birthday and they did loads of different themes including Halloween. Cost about £120

I'm doing this for my son's birthday. I've hired a hall because I'm not entertaining 30 kids in my house! We've got a Halloween themed piñata and pass the parcel planned. Luckily the hall has a big inflatable slide so they can go crazy on that for an hour.
