where to find party plates and supplies that are just a little bit different?

Hi Mners - am planning my soon-to-be 4 dd's birthday party soon - and I'm looking for some party plates/cups/party bags etc that are just a little bit different. There seem to be a million party supply shops out there but they all seem to sell the same thing. My daughter has already attended several fairy/Dora the explorer/farm/jungle themed parties and so I'm looking for something a bit different. Any ideas or recommendations for online shops please anyone please? (And yes, I know this is pure vanity on my part, my dd would be happy with plain paper plates and a bit of cake wrapped in a plain napkin...... but..there you go ....)

How about plain paper party bags and get the party goers to decorate their own - supply crayons, stickers etc. Have the contents ready to shove in at the end with the cake. Lots of lovely coloured plates & cups around. DD had gold for her princess party.

no help, but may I offer a round of applause for recognising that your dd couldn't care less?

too many Mners go nuts with the Dora plates etc and kill themselves making tractor-shaped cakes when really all the kids want is crisps, biscuits, to blow out the candles and run round the house screaming.

Don't know about plates - but I decorated plastic champagne glasses with glass pens for dd's 4th birthday party - and several children wanted to take them home!

Umm, definitely some good ideas here, thanks for tips so far and please keep 'em coming. Quite fancy decorating some plain paper bags ChippyM - that's a good idea - as is plastic glass/mug present idea HaggisA. My niece gave away little pencil cases after her party which were filled with tiny rubbers, rulers, crayons etc but my dd is a little young for that yet I reckon. To answer my own question (!) a girlfriend has just recommended this site to me www.allaboutpartybags.co.uk and it looks really good although I've over 22 children coming so will have to watch the budget.

Lakeland do some cellophane bags that are cheap and could work well for party bags.
