Hi,

My daughter's first proper birthday party, 6th, is in just over a week at local soft-play with 16 kids invited. I added my name & telephone number to request RSVP replies.. but naively I didn't add a date to ask parents to reply by. My daughter took the invites to school over a week ago and i asked her to ask the teacher to help put the invites in book bags.

So far only half have replied.... i need to give names and numbers to the soft play by the weekend at the latest.

Would you send another invite home with a note 'just in case the last one didn't make it home' or similar?

TIAx

Arethe parents all on a WhatsApp group or similar you could nudge on?

I would be chasing at the school gates the, but also I normally allow about 6 weeks notice on party invites particularly if the party is in a school holiday. If you have 8 confirmed that's still a good number to attend.

People are so rude. The first time it happened to me I didn’t realise that people don’t rsvp and ended up
Having to tell a mum I didn’t have a party bag for her son as I didn’t know he was coming.
