Hi - DS having a party at home with traditional games.

Party bags - I have got these fortune teller books for the girls.

www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_product_tbp?productId=510905&catalogId=10051&searchTerm=chatterbox

however I’m not giving the boys a pink fortune teller...

Was thinking paper planes -

house of marbles do one for £3.99 www.houseofmarbles.com/shop/product/paper-planes-kit/

Djeco £4.95 www.craftmerrily.co.uk/djeco-origami-aeroplanes

I am not comfortable spending money and being seen as the parent who is trying too hard! but I am happy to spend that IYSWIM

I just want to give something that’s not plastic and not a set of books as he is at a party almost every week and the book selection has dramatically reduced for me! seems they have all been given.

So should i just spend the extra? or any other suggestions?

Thanks

What do you think of these? Would work out at just under £2.70 each

what about this from the same place as your 'fortune tellers' doodling Also have you spotted that the fortune tellers book is recommended for 8+?

I think it's a bit bonkers that at the age of 6 you've decided fortune telling is for girls and planes are for boys. Hmm

I gave Easter eggs out at my son's party. The kids loved them and parents thought it a brilliant idea. Not expensive either

Thanks for the suggestions.

Yes it’s bonkers but I know my son and his friends. Pink books would not go down well. Nothing to do with fortune telling.

I've got some paint your own money box for my son's party it's fixed themed so I got the foxs but they had loads of selection in hobby craft they where half price so 1.75 each would something like that work?

Every single time I've been to a party where different party bags ate given to boys and girls there have been one or two upset children who would have preferred the other bag.

Why not just pick one thing and put it in for everyone. Planes sound like they'd work for everyone.
