party games for 6 year olds

What kind of games are popular for 6 year olds? Need to help somebody to host a party but I am a bit clueless and overwhelmed by Google.

Hi, sorry to bump an old thread, wondered if anyone had any ideas about this?

Having a party at home in a couple of weeks, will have maybe 10-20 mostly year one pupils so aged a mix of 5 & 6, was looking for some games that kids of this age won't turn their noses up at [e.g. are they too grown up for pass the parcel etc]?

We've got a decent sized house and small garden.

Don't mind spending a few pounds to sort out but nothing too elaborate, e.g. last night I bought a piñata from Asda...

Apart from the ones listed there, I am a big fan of the old classics like musical chairs, musical statues, pass the parcel etc!
