Party bags - what do you put in them again?

It's DS's 4th birthday party on Saturday. Just remembered about party bags this evening!

Will buy the stuff for them tomorrow. We did them last year, and I remember them going down well, but I can't remember what on earth we put into them or where we got it from!

I know you don't have to do them, but I think it's a nice thing. I'm definitely not intending on spending a fortune.

What do you put in yours?

TIA :)

I did them for my 3yo DS's party last weekend. A couple of kids didn't come, so he was allowed to have one. This week he was asked what his best birthday present was. After some consideration, he decided that it was the curly straw from his party bag Hmm
So, my vote goes for curly straws!

I just do bags of sweets tied with nice ribbon. From my experience, most of the other stuff never gets looked at or played with. Alternatively, a small book goes down well

Some ideas: sweets like Haribo, a chocolate bar, small notebook, pen, small pack of colouring pencils/ crayons, a little pot of playdough, little thank you note/ card saying thanks for coming to my party.

Wilkinsons is good as are the supermarkets.

Grin WhispersOfWickedness. Curly straws going in then!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Will include a small chocolate or sweet. (Not Haribo though as not vegetarian!)

Any more suggestions gratefully received! :)
