Do you need more children? Surely a good party doesn't need lots of people just lots of fun and to be made to feel special for the day .

IME no replys normally turn into yeses. I think 10 for a birthday is lovely number, so if you have 3 more replies, no problem. Alternatively have any of the yeses got suitable age siblings prob (7yrs-13yrs) age range. If so, invite them along.

ring up and ask all the not yets

It works for us, just corner them in the playground or call them if you have a number.

Make them decide! But yes, go ahead. Is there a set number for the booking?

It is always worth asking the mums of those that have not replyed.
My dd is well known for not bringing invites home.( or anything )
She has missed a couple of parties due to this, and I always feel a dreadful mum for not replying.
