DS 20 returned home in feb from a years working holiday in Australia. We thought he would get some kind of work quite soon and we would fall back into the routine of before with is both working and being out of the house.

Corona has nixed that, all job interviews cancelled and ground to a halt for him, now furlough for me.

We have become used to our own space and supporting ourselves, I am finding it hard and I know he is too.

Any coping strategies?

Treat it like a house share. Everyone reasonably polite, using their grown-up words. Don’t do passive-aggressive, say calmly exactly what’s pissing you off.
Pick your fights if you must argue. Be aware of each other’s boundaries, he’s an adult living in your house.
Rota for housework. Decide if you still want to be talking to each other when this is over and act accordingly.

Just been bitten in the arse by my own words. Adult DD has just entered sporting a shaved red Mohawk.
Pick your fights...Pick your fights...She’s an adult...
Sigh.

Good luck, mine is seeing how he can grow a beard, it's the looks good n the wine frequency that gets me
Upper hand is I bought him 12 beers last shopping day that remain untouched and I've had to replenish my wine

Yes, tattoo parlours and piercing salons are currently shut. Small blessings.
She’s great at cleaning stuff, and buys her own vodka. And often my gin.
