DH and our daughter were talking and she said things are financially very tight for them just now , So DH asked our daughter if she and her DH and children want to come to us for dinner on Christmas , to save her the expense. She said she'd think about it. This was two weeks ago . Saw them on Saturday and asked if they had decided yet ? Not committed yet, her DH said he's happy to do what he's told, ( he's happy at ours or staying at theirs) I want to book my order in and really need to know soon , can't work out what the problem is. Get the feeling she's waiting for a better offer ? Or for us to drop them £500 to cover it for them ( which we could do, but I'm getting a bit fed up of being a cash machine ) how do I politely ask her to make her bloody mind up ? Or do I just buy a massive turkey in the hope they come ? (If they don't come there's just three of us and only two eat meat ! )
