i have found this site so useful and helpful that i have so many things to ask

i dont know if i am feeding my 7 month right if shes getting enough of everything, ill share with you whati usually give her through the day and see if it sounds ok?

morning
7am bottle
8am porridge

lunch time
(i make all my own foods for her )
she could have..

chicken with potatoe, brocoli, carrots, turnip.. or
mince with potatoe, cauliflour, peas, green beans, butternut, parsnip
followed by a yoghurt (loves magic stars, are they ok for babies?)

dinner:
i usually give her a beggie dish. just loads of different vegatbles all mashed up, followed by a fruit pot

bottle at bed

the reason i only give her two bottles morning and night is she refuses to take a bottle at lunch or dinner, just spits it out or crys when i try to give her it, loves bottle at night and morning though.. this worrys me also!
i give her little bits through the day sometimes a strawberry or a little bit of toast or different fruit.

should i be giving her more of somthing? she dosnt take milk through the day so i mix it in with her dinners and porridge xx

Sounds similar to our 8 month old...

Breakfast:
BF & baby porridge

Snack:
Yoghurt & BF or bottle

Lunch:
Finger food (baby biscuit as a treat): toast, rice cakes with Philli, cucumber etc
1/3 large jar baby food
1/3 small jar baby dessert

Dinner:
Same as lunch

Bedtime:
BF

DD has water in her beaker available all the time.

Personally I'd not give my DD strawberries due to their allergy risk. Apparently they shouldn't be given to children until they are a year old. DD likes fromage frais yoghurts but they are very high in sugar so I'm also weaning her onto 'normal' ones. I'd take a look at the sugar content of the magic star ones.

I'd not worry about the bottles if your DD is gaining weight, drinking plenty of water and eating well. The back of our formula packet suggests 3 9oz bottles a day anyway so you're not far off.

If you're concerned, give your HV a call.

I would add that our DD is a healthy weight, continuing to gain weight along her weight curve and is not dehydrated. So, I'm happy our meals are working for us. What I'm struggling with is portion size!!

didnt know about the strawberrys! thanks for that, shes been eating them for a while now, not often maybe one a week, but maybe cut that out, ill double check the sguar quantity with the yoghurts too, she still has a bottle at about half ten also, not quite cut that out yet?? not sure when too actually, so she is getting 3 6 oz bottles a day that wayxx
