baby still has dark grey eyes at 3 months, likely eventual colour?

my 10 week old still has the eyes she's had since she was two weeks,
she was actually born with brown eyes which the midwife thought odd as both my partner and i are caucasian, but they lightened to steel grey in a few hours. Her eyes are now light grey in the middle with a noticeable thick dark grey/black outer ring, any guesses at what colour they are likely to be based on your own experience? The eye clour predictor said 50% brown, 30% green, 20% blue so could be anything! But from what i've read they would already have turned brown by now if they were going to. I think this eye colour predictor may be inaccurate because no one in my family has true brown eyes, but lots of people in my partners family including my partner have 'hazel' eyes, light green-brown.

So i'm guessing hazel? I read hazel eyes don't change until 6months+ because the genes are on a different genome to the ones that control for blue or brown.

my two children the same - my DD's didn't change from grey to her final colour of hazel/brown until she was nearly 1. DS looks like he going browner earlier.

Ds1 had light blue eyes for the first year. The next year they started turning greeny - looked a different colour depending on the light, sometimes looked brown and sometimes deffinitely blue. Sometime between 2 and 3 they turned their current shade of mid-brown. So you might have to wait a while.

Ds2's had turned deep brown by 12mo.

It was entirely unclear what colour DD's eyes would be until she was nearly one. They turned out to be a greeny hazel colour.

ds was born with what's referred to "pond" coloured eyes on here... kind of dark blue/grey/green/brown... took until he was over a year to end up their current light brown with flecks of green.

That's interesting about hazel eyes changing later. That was definitely the case for my dd whose eye colour I shall now call 'pond' and is looking the way for my ds too.

DD was born with very dark grey eyes & I thought she was going to keep them, as it was ages - I think about 8-9 months - till they changed to this dark brown colour.

DD has hazel eyes. She had grey at first, then blue and didn't change to hazel until 1 i think

Oh just read the other responses about pond coloured eyes and i remember for ages i wasn't really sure whether my dd's eyes were dark blue/grey/green/brown. Think they are hazel now

all my birth children were born with bright blue eyes. I cannot tell you the amount of times I was told with each one 'of course they will change colour' . Ok I sort of believed it with DD but by the time I got to DS3 I thought I was qualified to say 'no they wont!'

My children are mixed race with dark skin and dark curly hair so I can understand that some may be suprised at their blue eyes but I had no idea there were so many gentic experts out there so ready to share their knowledge .

re: hazel eyes, i have (usually) hazel eyes - brown at the outside blending to green on the inside - but depending on the weather they can change from all brown to bright green! freaky! lol. so u might never even be able to decide!

DS had blue eyes until he was about eight months old. Then they changed to green and have stayed thus ever since.
