I live abroad and have a ds 4 months old. i have been told by a number of people that I should be gently pulling my the skin back on my son's willy while in the bath to avoid problems later on. I mentioned this to my sister who live in the Uk and she was appalled!
Any advice? Thaks

I never did that with either of my ds's. I just left well alone tbh.

They are 6 and 4 now and they've never had any problems.

Sorry to hijack this post but my ds is 3.9 years and I took him to the doctor last week who diagnosed thrush but asked me if his foreskin was always this tight as he tried to pull it back. I've never done this (as has been stated on here) so when is the age when I should have started?

I think you're meant to actively avoid this as the foreskin hasn't separated yet, so can be quite damaging.

There's plenty of time for him to work on it himself in years to come!

Thats OK cyteen! It was a new doctor I saw and have been wondering about his actions ever since he did it tbh, so seeing this thread just made me ask the question!
