...this Saturday.

Am staying over so can take everything we need to our .

What I am worried about is the noise at the reception. It's my best friend so I need to be there!

Are there such things as baby ear defenders?

ear defenders

We used them on our 4 mth old, don't know how well a 4 wk old would take to them!

I would consider taking your baby in a sling/baby carrier. She/he would find being close to you reassuring and sounds would be muffled. Even so, unless you have an exceptionally laid back 4 week old, you'll probably end up sitting out the disco tbh

good luck! We did the same thing when DS1 was 5 weeks. It was challenging to say the least!

I took my 5 week old baby to a friends 50th birthday party. They had a disco, she was passed around and cuddled and apart from one feed she slept through the whole thing. I held her for most of the time. Would second the use of a sling

thanks, I will take the sling. Lots of my family are going who have all offered to take her out in turns if things get too much.
She is very laid back, probably something to do with having 3 older brothers!

What I am mainly worried about is it harming her little ears
