Depends if you want to shop online. John lewis has a free delivery right now, and their own toys are really good quality. My DS love their Bath Time Speed Boat, Musical Zoo, and their wooden puzzles. Is it for a boy or a girl? any of the above would suit either anyway...

The little George Luck stacking jigsaws are very popular at our house.

we have these and the children love playing with them, making up narratives etc. Highly recommend as a slightly unusual toy.

Best presents ever for 2 year olds - either a torch (thomas the tank or similar) or an umbrella (seriously - toddlers go MAD for umbrellas!)
