I just wonder because since yesterday DS (8.5mo) has started really wringkling his nose and snorting, can only describe it as if trying to suck up a bogie (sorry if TMI). Obviously, thought he had something up there. Had a good look but it seemed clear, so gave his nose a good clean out in the bath last night just to be sure. But he is doing it again today.

Is it a stage? Or is it a visit to the doctors? Just don't want to go through all the hassle/stress of getting to the doctors only to be told, "Well, no Mrs Gabster, there's nothing wrong with him, all children go through a stage of doing this ...".

DS does this all the time, we call it his "Evil DS" face as he looks really angry as he does it (I don't think he actually is, as he is back grinning again afterwards!).

He does do it more when he's a bit snuffly though, so I do think it's related to his nose being a bit uncomfortable.

PHEW!

Thanks spooky (like the Halloween name). Had a suspicion because like you say, he grins afterwards (a sure sign he thinks he has done something clever) and there really is nothing up there (no brains, nothing!). Cheeky little monky.

Suppose that means we will be getting snorting at 4am for the next few nights .
