When is okay to start using baby rice

So I know the basic baby food that comes in jars are usually okay to start using from 4-6 months but I just wasn't sure if this was the same for baby rice? As I know people who have started this a little earlier like at 3 months. I was told by a few people that you know when your baby will be ready for it?

Baby rice has no nutritional value and should never be used. Wait until closer to 6 months to start proper weaning. The type of people who use baby rice before 4 months are liable to put it in a bottle so I wouldn't listen to them!!

Honestly, exactly as the pp said, there’s no need. Just wait for 6 months and feed them proper food then.

Baby rice is just a thickener. You need to give them veg/fruit, but not at 3mo.

I find it hard not to judge people who wean at three months just because the baby looked up at their food. This doesn’t mean to say their body is ready which is why guidance states 6 months.

I never offered baby rice it provides no nutrition. If your confident look into baby led weaning where they eat normal food from the start (6 months) and not jars or mush.

Baby rice is just a thickener that’s turns rice into wallpaper paste. I’m not sure I knew anyone who used it, except the friend who was giving weetabix in the night feeds from 6wo...

I don't really get the point of baby rice. But equally, don't be "judged" into following BLW if you feel better with purees initially. It's not a competition.

Baby rice has no nutritional value and lots actually contains dangerous levels of
arsenic.

No food is suitable for babies under 6 months despite what it says on the jar.
