1 bedroom flat with 2 children - possible?

Hello,

Does anyone have experience living in a 1 bedroom flat with a 3 year old & newborn?
When baby wakes up at night screaming, surely my toddler would wake up?
Moving is no option at the moment.

Maybe someone is currently going through this and could cheer me up?
Thank you!!

I don’t have experience of this sorry but think it will depend on the children - some three year olds will sleep through anything and some newborns only cry very quietly or sort of grunt about a bit when they want milk. So might be ok! Think I would find the days harder, do you have any parks nearby?

Thanks for your reply! Much appreciated.
I guess every child is different. My first was very loud and wanted milk every 2-3 hours. I hope my second wont be like him.
We have many parks around & access to garden. Just reallt scared of nighttime.

Considering moving into living room/kitchen with newborn but the fridge is making loud noises every now and then... Confused

What are others doing? Xx

My eldest always woke up screaming for his milk too. It has been a nice surprise that his little sister just grunts and moves her body about until I wake. So you might get a quieter baby this time too, fingers crossed for you.

The fridge noise might not bother a newborn - they might perceive it as white noise. (And if they don't, playing white noise in the background might smooth things along!)

Thank you everyone!
I guess baby doesnt mind sleeping next to fridge like you say. Just hope i will be able to sleep.
I dont see any other option tbh.
